In this guide we will learn how to create a new page template in Shopify. There are two ways you can create custom page template in shopify. Let’s login to you shopify dashboard and we will go from there.
Create a new page template using theme customizer
How to delete a page template in shopify
1. Sales channels
2. Online store
3. Click on the three dots on the left side of the customizer.
4. Edit code
5. Find templates folder
6. Inside the template folder, you will find your custom page template, which will start with page.your-page.json
7. Click on it and you will find a delete button there.
How to assign a template to a page in shopify
1. Sales channels
2. Online store
3. Pages
4. Create new page or pick an existing one
5. On the right side, at the bottom, you’ll see a tab called ‘Online Store.’ Under the Theme Template option, assign your new template from there.
6. Click save
